Watch: ‘Diego Maradona’ documentary teaser released ahead of premiere at Cannes

A documentary about Diego Maradona published his excerpt on Tuesday, before the premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

The documentary is based on the life of Argentine legend, including the ups and downs of his career in Naples.

Built from more than 500 hours of unseen images of Maradona's life, a teaser was released Tuesday. He showed an image of July 5, 1984 when he signed in Naples for a world record.

Produced by the Academy Award and the winning Bafta team, behind Senna and Amy, the documentary is dedicated to the young Maradona who plays for Napoli and leads the club to its first title. The team had previously produced the documentary "Ronaldo" of 2015, which focused on the life of the superstar of Portugal and Juventus.

Diego Maradona will be in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from June 14th.
